ABOUT DR. CARLTON
Dr. Michelle Dumiller Carlton was born and raised in the Denham Springs area. After getting her braces as an adolescent, Dr. Carlton knew she wanted to be an orthodontist. She loved her new smile and wanted to be able to give that to others. She is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Carlton was inducted as member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society while attending LSUHSC. Following a one year general practice residency, Dr. Carlton completed a 2-year orthodontic residency program at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Carlton always knew she wanted to come home to Denham Springs to practice orthodontics.
Dr. Carlton's professional affiliations include: the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Louisiana Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Louisiana Dental Association.
Dr. Carlton enjoys working with both children and adults, helping them achieve beautiful smiles. It is her goal to provide the highest quality orthodontic care in a fun and friendly environment. She wants orthodontic treatment to be a positive experience for everyone.
When not in the office, Dr. Carlton enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben children Cooper and Kyleigh and their English Bulldog Lola. They are members of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs. They are big LSU fans!

Chantel, Sterilization Assistant Chantel joined our team in August 2009. She helps us during the busy afternoons and holidays by sterilizing instruments, setting up patient chairs and developing x-rays. She is a student at Southeastern Louisiana University and plans to go to dental school. When she is not at work or school she is spending time with her son, Layne. Besides being with family and friends she enjoys running and watching LSU football games. |

Melanie, Treatment Coordinator Melanie will be the person that will work with you during the initial appointment to ensure that all of your needs are met and questions answered. She has been in the orthodontic field for 13 years with E.D.D.A Certification and enjoys watching patients smiles transform. She also works in the clinic at various times so she may assist with your wires and colors. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband Cliff and three children; Cade, Calli and Cole. She also enjoys watching movies, shopping and going to the pool in the summer. |

Misti, Clinical Assistant, E.D.D.A Certified Misti has been a part of Dr. Carlton's team since July 2006. She enjoys the fun friendly atmosphere and seeing our patients make progress throughout treatment. She will assist Dr. Carlton with putting on braces, taking wires out, and putting on colors. In her spare time, Misti enjoys going out to eat, spending time with family and friends, boating, shopping, and trips to the beach. |

Rachel, Clinical Assistant, E.D.D.A Certified Rachel has been part of Dr. Carlton's team since November 2007. She is one of the people that will take your colors and wires out when you arrive at our office. She assists Dr. Carlton with the maintenance of your braces during your treatment. She enjoys working in Orthodontics because it is fast-paced, fun, and rewarding. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also likes watching LSU & Saints football, shopping and watching movies. |
